Our Story: Born from Personal Loss
Why we built Health is Heaven—a mission to turn critical physiological indicators into clear, actionable knowledge.
Every complex system has indicators before a critical failure. But in human health, if you do not recognize the early warning signs, the consequences are permanent.
The Personal Mission
In October 2025, my father, Gangadhara K, and my mother went to our native Rayadurgam, staying there for a week. When they returned to Bangalore, my father mentioned in the night that his legs were swollen. My brother, Ravi, checked his leg and assumed it was a minor burn wound—something we could take him to the local clinic for the next morning.
We had no idea that a silent, rapid vascular crisis was already underway.
The next morning, when we visited the clinic, the doctor looked at his leg and immediately urged us to visit a nursing home without delay. Through a colleague, we contacted Dr. Sunil, a skilled surgeon at Victoria Hospital, who asked us to come to GM Hospital in Basaveshwaranagar. Dr. Sunil acted immediately. He cut the skin and transparently showed us the devastating truth: there was no blood flowing in my father's leg. It was gangrene, and it would spread across his body.
Dr. Sunil mentioned that within a week, my father's leg had to be cut. We internally transferred my father from GM Hospital in Basaveshwaranagar to GM Hospital in Nagarabhavi, where his leg was amputated below the knee.
For the next 40 days, we were taking the medicines and doing everything we could. Yet, the wound did not dry. A month and a half after the first amputation, the surgeon delivered more difficult news: the gangrene had advanced, and his leg now had to be amputated above the knee. Left with no choice, we asked them to proceed, and a second surgery was performed by Dr. Sunil at Punya Hospital in Basaveshwaranagar.
For another month, we cared for him night and day at home. But gangrene is a ruthless infection. It returned once more, and the infection recurred, even beginning to affect his private areas.
On October 14, 2025, my mother called me to his side and asked us to place a few drops of Tulsi water in his mouth. I watched him struggle. He found it difficult even to swallow, though we could hear the faint sound of him attempting to swallow the water. I quickly got a nurse to our home, but by the time we returned, he was gone. The nurse hesitated to say it, recommending we take him to the hospital for further procedures, but we knew there was no coming back.
We rushed to Supra Hospital in Basaveshwaranagar immediately. The doctors checked his eyes and wrist pulse and told us to go to a government hospital. Without delay, we went to Victoria Hospital, where the medical team checked his vitals and confirmed what we feared most: my father, Gangadhara K, was no more.
In Loving Memory
This platform is dedicated to my beloved father, Gangadhara K, whose passing on October 14, 2025 taught us the ultimate value of early physical detection and physiological tracking.
Why Health is Heaven Exists
Looking back, our family’s tragedy began with a simple, human mistake: we didn't recognize the indicators. We mistook severe leg swelling and gangrene for a minor burn. If we had known the urgency of those physiological symptoms, if we had a clear, foolproof way to check those indicators immediately, we would have rushed to the emergency room that very night.
Those lost hours changed our lives forever.
I built Health is Heaven so that no other family has to stand by in the dark, guessing at critical symptoms.
As an enterprise IT systems architect with 14 years of experience, I spent my career designing and fixing complex systems where small errors lead to massive consequences. After my father's passing, I realized I could apply those same rigorous engineering principles to human health indicators.
"Health is Heaven exists to give you a foolproof system to track your health indicators before minor variations become permanent crises."
We provide 23 free, clinically validated calculators and checkers—covering cardiovascular indicators, diabetes risk, metabolic efficiency, and vital ranges—so you can monitor your numbers early, know exactly when to consult a doctor, and prepare in advance.
We do this in memory of my father, and we do it with absolute respect for your privacy: we never track, save, or share your personal health numbers.
Our Three Editorial Commitments
Clinical Validation
Every tool and calculator is built strictly on validated clinical formulas and guidelines published by leading global authorities like the WHO, AHA, and ADA.
