Data Deletion Instructions

You have the right to request that we delete personal data we hold about you. This page explains exactly how to do that and what to expect.
What Data We Collect
We may hold the following types of personal data, depending on how you have interacted with us:
- Newsletter subscribers: Email address and the date you subscribed
- Contact form submissions: Name, email address, and the content of your message
- Comment authors: Name, email address, comment content, and IP address (if you have ever left a comment)
- Analytics: Anonymized usage data such as pages visited, device type, and approximate location, collected via Google Analytics
- Social login (Facebook): Profile name and email address, only if you have connected via Facebook login

How to Request Deletion
The fastest way to have your data deleted is to email us:

Subject line: Data Deletion Request
In your message, please include:
- The email address associated with your data (newsletter subscription, comments, or contact form)
- A brief description of what data you want deleted (for example, "unsubscribe and remove all my data" or "delete my comments on the BMI Calculator article")
- If you contacted us via Facebook login, the name on your Facebook account
We will verify the request comes from the email address it concerns, then complete the deletion within 30 days. We will email you to confirm once the deletion is complete.
Self-Service Options
For some types of data, you can take action yourself without contacting us:
Newsletter Unsubscribe
Every email we send includes an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom. Clicking it will immediately remove your email address from our newsletter list.
Browser Data and Cookies
You can delete cookies and local storage data we have placed on your device through your browser settings. The exact steps depend on your browser, but most browsers have a "Clear browsing data" or "Privacy" option in their settings menu.
Google Analytics Opt-Out
To prevent Google Analytics from collecting any further data when you visit our Site, you can install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Facebook Login Disconnection
If you have used Facebook login to interact with our Site, you can revoke access at any time:
- Open your Facebook account settings
- Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings
- Click Apps and Websites
- Find Health is Heaven in your list of connected apps
- Click Remove to revoke access and request data deletion
What Happens After Deletion
Once we delete your data, it is removed from our active systems. We may retain some data for a limited period if required by law (for example, transaction records for tax purposes) or to resolve disputes, but this will be the minimum amount necessary and only for as long as legally required.
Backup copies of our databases are retained for up to 30 days for disaster recovery purposes. After that period, your deleted data is purged from backups as well.
Your Rights Under GDPR and Other Privacy Laws
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights, including the right to access your data, the right to correct inaccurate data, the right to data portability, and the right to object to certain types of processing.
